Navayugam’s 14th Annual day celebration at Chennai

North zone team would like to express and submit their deep gratitude and solemn joy to the feet of guruji for giving them an opportunity to conduct 14th Annual day celebrations in Chennai which acted as a platform to gain lot of experiences and joy.

North zone In-charge planned effectively to conduct the function in an organised, simple and cost-effective manner. 18 teams were allotted for various divisions of work.

On daily basis, all the team members communicated after their routine work schedule to discuss about the progress of the work and regarding the suggestions to handle the obstacles.

We planned to get permission for conducting rally, to get advertisers & sponsors for the event, to get permission from the principal of several schools to allow their students to participate in various competitions like essay writing and painting contest, to make a list of volunteers and visitors on the event day. Students from Government schools located in and around Velachery area participated in the competition. Guruji has given the topics for the contest as follows.

These contests were conducted well in advance to the event day. 540 students participated in the contest. Food was served to them on the contest day and results were declared. Hygiene is health & avoidance of plastics was the slogan emphasis by Guruji for the rally campaign. Team allocated to conduct rally met Intelligence team along with the details about our organization and its ongoing services related to all aspects including health rallies, disease prevention campaigns etc. It was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner of Police after scrutiny. DCP was completely satisfied with the previous rally reports and the services offered through Navayugam trust.

Responsibilities like Finance management and printing the event invitation was allocated to a responsible person & a team respectively. To make the people aware about the plans and activities of Navayugam trust, to tell them the ways to lead a happy and content life, to display the products of our organization, we planned to organize an exhibition related to ways to lead a happy, healthy life. We booked a separate non-AC hall for the same.

We invited a list of guests of honor for the event.

Dr Cliff Saldanhaa, MBA, PhD an industrialist and Pranic healer, Dr Pa. Rajasekara Sivachariyar MA (Tamil,sanskrit, Philosophy), PhD (Sanskrit, tamil) a spiritual orator,

Dr Chakravarthi Balaji, BE, M Tech, PhD, IIT professor, Mech Engr, a spirituality researcher, Mrs Nrithya jagannathan (yoga teacher & therapist in krishnamacharya yoga mandhiram) holding an administrative head post in Krishnamachariya Yoga mandhiram trust.

We reached the mandapam on 8th noon with all the necessary things and a scrumptious dinner prepared according to Nalan recipe was served for all the volunteers.

Guru. Muthukumar spoke on the topic ‘Guru Ennum Irai’ (Guru is God), Guru. Marimuthu spoke on the topic titled, “Nalvali Nada” (walk in a righteous path), Guru. Srinivasan spoke on the topic “Sevaiyin Thevai” (The Need of Service). Guest lectures and the Gurumargal talks were simple to understand and easy to implement in our routine life. Asana demonstration by Madurai and Tiruppur team members & the drama led by Singapore team got a special applause.

Bharatanatyam sessions were held by Bharatanatyam artist Kavya Lakshmi, Guru Chitra Muralidharan along with Aswika & Reshmatha Sai from Niruthiya Ishethra organization. Prize distribution for the essay writing and drawing contest winners and participants of the cultural events were distributed. Vote of Thanks by Guru Dhanesh was so special and it imparted the interest to listen again in the future event. Teacher Elangho from North zone thanked his whole team for this successful event, following which the event came to a happy ending with positive outcome.

1. Best Service provider award was awarded to G.S. Vimalraj ( Thanjavur)

2. Best Service award was awarded to Tirupur team for conducting “Mini Marathon” on concept of conserving Nature.

3. Best Service team was awarded to Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Chennai, Tirupur, Karur team for their service during Gaja cyclone.

4. Best event award was given to Erode center for conducting “Food festival” - Erode

5. Best event coordinator award was given to G.A. Devaraj, Singapore

6. Best fund donating team award was given to Singapore team

7. Best fund donor award was given to G.A. Kavitha from Madurai

8. Best non-member donor award was given to Mr Thangamani, manipal stores , Tirupur.

9. Best Gyanodhayam teacher award was given to G.A. Rajapriya (Puducherry)

10. Best Gyanodhayam assistant teacher award was given to G.A. Usha Rani (Mugalivakkam, Chennai)

11. Best Gyanodhayam center was given to Pollachi center

12. Best Gyanodhayam center Incharge was given to G.A.Ramachandran from Pollachi center

13. Best Gyanodhayam student award was given to G.S. Jeyashree (Thanjavur)
